Scripture Memorizing Book

I think in my next life I'll be a graphic designer . . . it's so fun!

So let's talk about memorizing scriptures.  I'm always amazed at how crazy fast my kiddos can memorize something.  You know, I sing along to a song on the radio twice and next thing I know my 3 year-old is running around the house singing, "Hey!  I just met you, and this crazy, so here's my number, call me maaaaaybe!"  Yikes.

The hubby and I decided we better use these powers for good.  I mean, there is more to having the entire movie Cars 2 memorized right?  We've started practicing scriptures, those easy, short and meaningful scriptures that everyone should know.

I designed this little flip book last year my boys and some friends.  We practice them before bed, flip thru them at church and we're totally rockin' it!

I decided to make my designs FREE for all of you, we all need the scriptures more in our lives and if this can help primary kids everywhere I'm a happy mamma!

Kristin said:  "These are still our favorite thing in my church bag! I use them for myself even!"

Michelle said:  "We love ours, kids love looking at them and memorizing them!"

There are 50 pages, 4x6 size.  You can print the pages, cut and assemble yourself.  Or, you can go the simpler route and send them to Walgreens or Shutterfly to print as photos.  Both often have 40-50% off codes, check the deals.  I slide them into the little clear 4x6 albums from the dollar store and ta da!  Done!

So, click HERE to download my free designs.  Please remember that these are NOT for commercial use, they are to bless your little homes:)

Leave a comment and let me know how they work for your family, I would love to hear from you.

Last-minute Lesson Series

I want to share some of my favorite last-minute lessons. It's a reality in primary right, nobody prepared sharing time, there's 10 minutes leftover, piano player is sick, or teachers or subs are no-shows. I've been in primary for 4 years now, and I've learned to keep a stash of simple/fun lessons in my bag. These work for simple sharing times and can be adapted to a longer class time or even use in Family Home Evening.

Here are the first in my series of last-minute lessons. Enjoy!

Lesson: Establish a House (D&C 88:119)

This lesson is fun for all ages, and you can really challenge the older kids to memorize the scripture. The younger kids, of course, love to color the picture. I have one printed on cardstock, colored and cut into a puzzle. We search the room for the hidden pieces, put it together, and talk about each piece. Handout the house coloring page and color. Simple!

Click here for the blank house coloring page.

Lesson: Jonah and the Big Fish

This is another fun lesson, especially for the younger kiddos. You can tell or read the story of Jonah, and I use my colored cardstock cutouts for this. Make sure to cut a little slit up the whale's mouth so Jonah can really go inside. Talk about courage, faith and being obedient, sing Follow the Prophet and handout the coloring page. A winner!

Click here to download printable Jonah page.

Lesson: 3 Card Match (Easter Version)

This is a fun concept, and you can use it for many subjects, this one happens to be for Easter. The game is called 3-card-match, it's easy enough for little kids, but I find my senior primary gets in to it the most. Print off the cards, there are 2 of each picture to the Easter story. I use the music stand to play, but you could also use a flannel board or chalkboard. Place 3 cards face down, one child gets a chance to turn over 2 cards, their goal is to get a match. If they don't get a match, turn them over, make a show about mixing them up and it's another child's turn. If they match, take those cards out, tell that part of the story, and add more cards to the game. You can compete girls/boys, teachers/kids, classes, or just have them try to match them as a group.

You could make a fun set of cards for missionary work, temples, prophets, a million fun topics. I find that 11 or 12 matches takes the time. For younger children when they get a match you can tell that part of the story, for senior primary I make them tell ME the part of the story before getting the point.

Click here to print the 3 Card Match Easter Game. (It's 6 pages, be patient, and you'll want to print on cardstock)

If you have a favorite last minute lesson to share, or have questions or suggestion please leave a comment or contact me at camillescasa(at)yahoo(dot)com

April Scripture Sticker

We really want to reward the kids in our primary who bring their scriptures, you know? But I hate giving candy, cookies or a button in a jar.

We decided on scripture stickers, one per month. Each week we have a scripture that we look up and mark with a red pencil and on the last week we give a scripture sticker to each child that has their scriptures. (This may seem mean, but if you forget them you can always get it the next week. We got a stack of free Book of Mormons from our local DI and so there is no child in our primary that doesn't have their own. This is something every child can succeed at!)

April Scripture Sticker: Isaiah 1:18

These stickers coordinate with my week 3 lesson found here where we discussed repentance, the atonement and how we can be clean white just like clean laundry.

I made these scripture stickers on my computer, cheaper than the ones you buy at Deseret Book and perfect because we need 40 of each one. Make sure you buy CLEAR envelope labels, not white.

I used the Avery brand Clear Mailing Labels. The package says size 18660, 1 x 2 5/8 inches, 30 labels per sheet. To design I used my favorite scrapbook program that had the built-in layout called Avery 8160. I checked Microsoft word and they also have a template for Avery 8160, so they will print correctly. Scriptures are so small, so I cut each label in half. They look great in color and the kids really love them.

Click here to download the above jpeg. You will have to set up your own template to match the labels you get. Remember each label is in half, so there are a total of 60 on this page. (My printer lets me choose under properties to only print 40 o r 20 or however many you need, so you save the extra labels for later, just run them back through your printer.)

Any questions or problems just email me or leave a comment.

April Sharing Time Week 2 and 3

The April outline has 4 lessons and with conference there are only 3 weeks. I am going to teach the topic from week 3 so the last week of April we can focus on Easter. I created a really fun lesson in July about how Jesus went about doing good with free printables, click here to view that lesson if you need ideas for the week 2 topic.

Theme: We believe that through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved.

Materials: Yarn or string, 8 clothespins, 8 t-shirts printed on red cardstock, 8 t-shirts printed on white cardstock, handout t-shirts with scripture for each child, picture of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Click here to download my free printables. There are 6 pages here. Page 1 is the t-shirt handout, pages 2 and 3 are the white t-shirt printables, pages 4 and 5 are the t-shirts that need to be printed on red paper, and page 6 is a large, blank t-shirt that is optional if you want to color or need additional.

String your yarn across the primary room and hang up clothes pins. Tell children that today you are going to clean some dirty laundry, but you will need their help. Begin by reading Isaiah 1:18. What is scarlett? What color is snow? What does that mean? Even though we could be bright red with sin, through Jesus' atonement we can become clean and white like snow, like the red was never even there. Display picture of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and describe.

In a basket show children the red t-shirts, scarlet like the scripture taught us. Each one contains a sin that needs to be wiped away and made like snow through Christ's atonement. I'm going to choose 2 children at a time. One will pick a red t-shirt out of the basket and clip it to a clothespin so everyone can see. Discuss how it's a sin, how it makes us feel, how we want to be clean again. Have the 2nd child choose a white t-shirt from another "clean" basket that is pure white and place it over the red t-shirt. The white t-shirts have the scrambled words from the 3rd article of faith.

Once all 8 red t-shirts with sin have been replaced with white t-shirts have the children try to unscramble the 3rd article of faith. Read and discuss together.

Handout little t-shirts with the Isaiah 1:18 scripture to each child and let the children share what they love about Jesus Christ's atonement for us. If time remains, children can color their handout t-shirts, or you can copy the large blank t-shirt and children can draw a picture of Jesus inside and color.

I love the scripture from Isaiah and I'm going to challenge my senior primary kids to memorize it. The junior primary kids can probably at least memorize the bold portion in the middle.

If you have questions or great ideas please leave me a comment or contact me at camillescasa(at)yahoo(dot)com. If you use my idea I'd love to hear how it went!!

Check out my matching scripture stickers here!

April Sharing Time Week 1

Theme: Jesus Christ was chosen to be our Savior

Materials: 10 hide/seek pieces hidden around the room, wristband printed for each child

Click here to download my free printables. 3 pages total; 2 pages hide/seek pieces and 1 page of coloring page wristbands.

Optional object lesson: Have one child come up and give them one of those giant Hershey's kisses. Tell them that the kiss is theirs, they can have it at the end of sharing time. Have them return to their seat and keep the kiss under their chair or in their lap. At the end of sharing time, have the same child come up with their chocolate kiss. Tell them that they have a decision to make, similar to Jesus' decision. They can either have that kiss themselves and nobody else gets any candy, OR they can give back the kiss and everyone can have a small hershey kiss. Discuss how Jesus sacrificed for us.

Lesson: I'm going to explain to the kids how I thought of everything I wanted to teach them today about Jesus and realized that it was all in a primary song. Today we will be studying and learning from the words of the song I Lived in Heaven. Print out and hide (in advance) the pieces of the song. Children will follow the clues to find the pieces, and discuss that line of the song and what it means.

I Lived in Heaven

1. I lived in heaven a long time ago, it is true;
Lived there and loved there with people I know. So did you.
Then Heav’nly Father presented a beautiful plan,
All about earth and eternal salvation for man.

2. Father said he needed someone who had enough love
To give his life so we all could return there above.
There was another who sought for the honor divine.
Jesus said, “Father, send me, and the glory be thine.”

3. Jesus was chosen, and as the Messiah he came,
Conquering evil and death through his glorious name,
Giving us hope of a wonderful life yet to be—
Home in that heaven where Father is waiting for me.

Words and music: Janeen Jacobs Brady, b. 1934

My clues fit my primary room, but make up your own if these don't fit. I will choose one child at a time, give them a clue, and let them search for the piece of the song. Here are the clues I'm using:
1) Under a sunbeam chair
2) Beneath the microphone
3) CTR 5 teacher
4) Where the child giving a talk sits
5) Near the window
6) In a doorway
7) Near a garbage can
8) Under a valiant chair
9) Near piano player's shoe
10) Near picture of the prophet

Sing I Lived in Heaven.

Hand out "Jesus was Chosen" wristbands and in remaining time children can decorate and assemble. Just roll around their wrist and secure with scotch tape.

It should be a fun week! If you have any questions leave a comment or email me camillescasa(at)yahoo(dot)com. If you use my lesson I'd love to hear how it went, leave me a note!

November Sharing Times

I'm not going to be posting individual lessons for November sharing times, but I did compile some great ideas from the Friend that could really get you started!

You could easily create a fun service board game with this artwork from the Friend. You could cut apart the people needing service and spread them around the chalkboard. Draw simple squares connecting them. Have children roll the dice until they arrive and identify the service. Children could be on 2 teams. Cute eh?

When we're helping we're happy would make a great lesson. I love these printable buttons for a calender for the month of November. Scroll down and read the ideas for a puzzle, smile game and scriptures.

Here is a cute cartoon sketch of the story of President Kimball and his service to a family at the airport. It would be fun to read piece by piece or act out.

I love this idea that talks about how Jesus served others and we should do. Cute ideas, plus you get to make a kindness bouquet of flowers:)

This one could be an awesome sharing time as you discuss having a Happy Home. What makes a happy home? Serving your family! Love the ideas and printables.

Have a fabulous sharing time lesson!

October Sharing Time Week 4

Week 4: Temple work helps me and my family come unto Christ.

For sharing time this week I'm going to be using a great story from the Feb. 2002 Friend magazine and play a game that my primary kids love.

First, visit this link and print the story and 2 coloring pages. I would print the images on cardstock. I colored them with markers, cut them out, and put sticky velcro (just the hooks) on the back.

Our church library has large (about 2x3) flannel boards you can check out. The velcro sticks perfectly to the flannel. If you don't have a flannel board, you could use a poster board and masking tape, or a magnet board and magnets, or even a chalkboard.

Begin by telling the story about the family that goes to the temple open house. I will invite one child to come up with me and help me put the pieces anywhere on the board. Ask questions as you go like: Why do they where booties in the temple? Why are they wearing their sunday best? How many oxen are there? How old do you need to be to do baptism for the dead?

Now that you have all the pieces up, it's time to play the game. Sometimes I bring a child up to help, other times I choose the piece. I call this game the Baby Shower Game, since we always seem to play it at baby showers:) My junior and senior primary kids get really in to it. I place my flannel board on a music stand so I can easily spin it around, but a blanket over the top works well too. To play, turn the board around and remove one piece of the story. Turn it back around and have the children try to guess which piece is missing. They have to raise their hands, and when they guess it you can ask them more questions about the item.

To close, share a personal temple story, a great experience you've had there. Bear your testimony and encourage them to strive for the temple. I like to ask their teachers for their experiences in the temple too.

Have a wonderful lesson. If you haven't answered my question about sharing time lessons, please click here to let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Sharing Time Question

So, I have a question for you several hundred people that stop by my blog to use my sharing time lessons.

Here's the deal, I'm 2nd counselor and only teach every 3rd month. I usually only post the lessons for the months I'm teaching. I've been getting a lot of positive response to my lessons and I'm considering making lessons for every week, even when I don't teach.

Only thing is, the lessons take a lot of time and effort for me to prepare. Spending a few hours on the computer each week for a lesson I'm not going to teach, hmmm? So my question is, would you be willing to donate a couple bucks to keep my lessons free?

I'd love to hear your comments. If it becomes a little side job for me I'd love to keep doing it, if it becomes a hassle that just keeps me away from laundry, I'll let it slide.

If you've loved my lessons, consider it!

October Week 3 Sharing Time

Week 3: We can come unto Christ by repenting when we make a mistake

You'll need: An umbrella, picture of Jesus Christ, raindrop cutouts, umbrella cutouts and umbrella coloring page.

Click here to download and print my free printables. You will find the coloring page, the umbrella cutouts and the raindrop cutouts, 4 pages total.

To begin, have one child come forward, we'll call him Tyler. Tell the children that Tyler is going to his father's house for dinner and he's really excited. As he steps outside to walk all the way to his father's house he realizes it's pouring rain. The rain is splashing everywhere and the whole road is covered in mud. Tyler starts to get worried because he knows that at his father's house the carpet is white, the furniture is white and everything is so beautiful and clean. He would feel awful he showed up soaking wet and dirty. What can Tyler use to keep the rain away?

An umbrella! We are all preparing to meet our Heavenly Father. No unclean thing can be in God's presence, so when we arrive we can't be covered in dirt/sins, we need to clean. Our life here on earth is like a rainstorm, there are temptations and mistakes pouring down. How do we keep from being soaking wet? We have another kind of umbrella, it's a gift from our Savior, Jesus Christ. Does anyone know what this gift is called? It's the atonement, it's like a big umbrella, it lets us repent and stay dry from all the rain drops.

There are 4 steps to repentance that make up this umbrella. Let's put them on the board in order and discuss each one.

In advance, I'm going to cut out the raindrops and tape them all the way around my umbrella (a real one). One at a time a child will have a turn to come up and practice the steps of repentance with the umbrella. They hold the umbrella over their head and spin the umbrella in their hands. The raindrop closest to their nose they get to pull off and read. We will discuss how to follow the steps of repentance to fully repent from that raindrop.

We will handout the coloring page and be done. Why do kids love umbrellas so much? It'll be fun!

October Sharing Time Week 2

Sharing the gospel helps others come unto Christ.

I will be focusing on how we can be missionaries now and how the children can prepare to share the gospel. You'll need: printable pitcher, blessings wordstrips, orange juice word strips, missionary coloring pages and crayons.

Click here to download the 4 page pdf file with printables. If you have any troubles, email me.

I'm going to use one of my favorite talks about sharing the gospel from Oct. 2000 conference. Read the entire talk here by Robert C. Oaks of the seventy. I loooove his orange juice analogy when it comes to sharing the gospel. I will read portions of the talk w/ the senior primary, but for junior I will summarize with something simple like this:

I had the most delicious orange juice this morning for breakfast. It was so good, I mean it was so sweet and a little tangy and it was sooooo good. I enjoyed it so much, I could drink it all day. This orange juice was so good that everybody should be able to taste it, it's the best. I was going to bring the pitcher and some cups and share with everyone, but then I got thinking. What if some of you don't like orange juice? Would you be mad at me if I brought it? What if it hurt your feelings if I offered you a cup? What if you didn't want to come to primary anymore and be friends if you didn't like the orange juice? I just got so nervous thinking about it that I decided not to bring the orange juice to share. It's the best orange juice that I've ever tasted, but I'm keeping it to myself.

I will discuss how sometimes we treat the gospel like orange juice. The gospel is wonderful and brings us so much happiness, but we are too afraid to share it. Isn't it silly to think that someone wouldn't want to be our friend if we offered them orange juice? We should be excited to share the wonderful things we know about the gospel with all of our friends, just like we would want to share the most delicious orange juice with everybody.

The blessing wordstrips outline some gifts and wonderful pieces of knowledge we have because of the gospel. I will hide them under the chairs and we will discuss each one and put them on the board.

Then, we will talk about how we can be missionaries and how we can share the gospel. Cut out the pitcher and put it on the board. One by one add the orange juice strips until the pitcher is full and discuss each point.

Copy a boy or girl missionary for each child to color w/ remaining time. I found this clipart years ago when I was a CTR 5 teacher. I can't find it again and I apologize about the quality. I have a clearer image in a Microsoft Word Doc, email me if you'd like me to forward it on. I love this art, I wish I new the artist and the link, but I've searched all over the internet and can't find it! Anybody know where it's from? It's fun to color the clothes and draw in the face, kids love it. It's included in the pdf download, but kind of poor quality. Leave a comment if you find it or know the artist, thanks!

Update: Thanks Pam and BSF for finding the link for the artwork! Click here to print the picture. Thanks ladies!

October Sharing Time Week 1

Week 1: Following the prophet will help us come unto Christ.

Needed: Giant glasses printed on cardstock and cut out, word strips, light bulbs, blindfold and picture of President Monson.

Click here to download glasses, word strips and light bulbs in pdf format.

(I'm trying out google docs for pdf files. Just click where it says download 1 mb. There are 3 pages. If you have any troubles w/ the pdf print email me, I'll send it to you.)

Display picture of President Monson and discuss how blessed we are to be led by living prophets. Prophets are inspired to speak for the Lord, just like Moses, Isaiah, Peter, Paul, Nephi and Mormon. We sustain the president of the church, Thomas S. Monson, as a prophet, seer and revelator. What does this mean? Place word strips on the board and discuss.

Just like prophets long ago, our prophet testifies of Jesus Christ and teaches His gospel. They denounce sin and warn of consequences and they are even inspired to prophesy future events. We can always trust the prophet, they speak for Heavenly Father and will never lead us astray.

D&C 1:38 "What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same"

We can be safe if we follow the prophet. Our Heavenly Father promises us great blessings if we follow what our prophet says. When we follow the prophet, we are following Jesus Christ.

Today we're going to practice following the prophet. Being a prophet, seer and revelator is like having special glasses, glasses that help you see things that other people can't see. Invite child to come forward and put on the giant glasses and be the "prophet."

Around the room are some hidden truths that our prophet revealed to us at general conference. Invite another child to come up and be blind folded. We can't see these truths, we need to follow the prophet if we want to get to them. The blind folded child will have to closely follow the voice of the prophet in order to maneuver around the primary room and safely get a light bulb. The "prophet" child will walk beside and guide them with their voice.

On the back of each of the light bulbs I will write something Pres. Monson mentioned during general conference, maybe having charity towards others, paying tithing, having family home evening, etc. and as they take each light bulb down we'll discuss if we follow it, how we can follow his counsel and why it's important.

Primary Program & Activities

Phew, I made it through another month of sharing time. August I will be spending most of my energies on getting our primary program perfect. We've written an outline, it's adorable and I think it will be fantastic. If any of you are interested in the word doc. of our outline, email or leave a comment and I'd be happy to email it to you.

Also, we've scheduled our next primary activity. It's going to be a Primary Talent Show, on a friday evening, and we're inviting the whole ward to be an audience.

Anybody done this before? We're thinking apple cider, popcorn, licorice, stage lights and maybe cute skits by the classes.

Any other great ideas?

July Sharing Time Week 4 - Pioneer Examples

Update July 2015- Hi friends, thanks for finding me!  This lesson was posted in 2010 and is still one of my post popular posts.  I'm in the process of re-launching my blog and transferring over old PDF files and making them instant downloads.  I just finished this one, so jump over to camillepardo.com and you'll find my Pioneer Lesson with printables that actually work.  Check back for lots of great Primary ideas.  Thanks!

Here are my plans for a fun sharing time, tying in the theme with Pioneer Day.
First, I will explain to the children that Jesus Christ is a perfect example for us to follow because He always obeyed Heavenly Father and he showed love to everyone. We are celebrating Pioneer Day this week, the pioneers followed Jesus Christ's example. Today, we're going to try to be pioneers and get our covered wagon all the way to the Salt Lake Valley. To get there, we have to make smart decisions and have Jesus Christ as our example. Each time we make a good decision we will move closer to Salt Lake. There are some obstacles on our way too, but the pioneers will help us get through them.
I am using this link to make a 3D covered wagon. Print and assemble this covered wagon from the July 2001 Friend. Cute eh? I'm only putting together the wagon, not the oxen, but it's up to you. (Print it from the link though, not here, I shrunk them to show you so they would end up tiny!)

I'm using a piece a yarn that will stretch all the way across the primary room. I will loop the wagon through the yarn, and we will slide it along from one end of the room to the other. Don't tape it too high, I want the children to be able to reach it.
Cut and fold word strips and place in the wagon. One child at a time gets to come up and choose a paper, answer the question, then move the wagon forward. There will be 3 obstacles on our way, a blizzard, a mountain and a river. Each obstacle has a pioneer story to match, after we discuss the story and how the pioneers followed Christ's example of loving one another we will remove the obstacle and keep on walking.
Here are the obstacle matchups:
Snowflake: GAK picture 414 - Martin Handcart Company, Bitter Creek Wyoming 1856
Mountain: GAK picture 412 - Mary Fielding Smith and Joseph F. Smith crossing the plains
River: GAK picture 415 - Helping the handcart company across the Sweetwater River
(I will summarize the photo from the back of the picture and discuss who was following Christ's example.)
Here are the cutouts for the snow, river and mountain. To print, clicking on the image, then right clicking and saving to your computer. If the quality isn't good, email me and I'll send the pdf file.

Here are the word strips. Again, if you have trouble printing, just email me and I'll send over the word document. The decisions aren't difficult, but they have a right answer. Some children will need prompting from you and their teacher.

In closing, I will bear testimony that in following Christ's perfect example we can overcome obstacles and reach our ultimate goal - eternal life. We can be just like the pioneers and help others on their way.

July Week 3 Sharing Time

Every 3rd Sunday we have a special guest in our primary, her name is Sister Friendly. Sister Friendly highlights a few stories from the Friend magazine and reviews, plays a game and reinforces the principles taught in the story. She is super cute and bubbly, and most of the kids don't even know her real last name, she's just friendly:) She chooses stories as soon as the friend comes out and announces it in opening exercises and in the ward bulletin. She encourages them to read the stories with their parents so they are prepared for her 3rd Sunday visit. Our primary has been doing this for about 1 1/2 and the children are excited about reading their Friend, and they're getting their parents to read with them.

Subscriptions are only $8 per year, so it really is possible for every child to receive the Friend. Also, did you know there is a hidden CTR ring in every issue? Our Bishop gives a treat to any child that brings their Friend and shows him where they found it.

Anyway, since Sister Friendly is visiting during Sharing Time my lesson will be really short. Since we've been talking about some stories of Jesus these past few weeks, this week I want the children to tell back the stories to me. I'm going to use flannel boards and several children come up at a time and put the pieces in order and tell each story briefly.

My mom has those awesome flannel board sets with every story from the Bible and Book of Mormon, I will be borrowing hers. For those of you that don't have any, you have to check out this fabulous website Chocolate on my Cranium. She spent the time getting all of these flannel board stories together, and you can print them! Spend some time browsing her site, she has some great resources.

After we retell the stories, I will have the children read John 13:34 with me and give them each a heart to keep in their scriptures to remember to be like Jesus.

We will sing "I'm Trying to be like Jesus" and close.

It's a simple week for me this week, but I'm planning a super fun pioneer sharing time for next week. I'll get the printables up soon!

(For the hearts printable, try clicking on the image and then saving it your computer. If that doesn't print clearly, just email me and I'll send over the pdf!)

July Sharing Time Week 2

Week 2: Jesus Christ went about doing good.

I don't know about your kids, but our primary kids love rolling dice. I created a cube that matches with pictures of Christ doing good. Children will match the picture on the dice to a story of Jesus doing good. We'll discuss the story and recite the scripture Acts 10:38, "He went about doing good, for God was with him."

I'm using pictures from the Gospel Art Kit and hopefully our library has a picture of Jesus feeding the 5,000. If not, I might print one from a google search. Here are the matchups:

Jesus Blesses Jairus's Daughter GAK 215 - SICK

Christ and children from around the world GAK 608 - CHILDREN

Christ ordaining the apostles GAK 211 - HANDS

Christ healing a blind man GAK 213 - EYES

Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead GAK 222 - DEAD

Jesus feeds the 5,000 (Library) - FOOD

After we've matched up all the photos with the dice, we'll talk about how we can do good on earth just like Jesus. I will have a child roll the dice again, and tell us how they can do good with their hands, eyes, helping the sick, children, someone who lost a loved one or bless others with food. I hope they come up with good examples, the children are very smart and compassionate when it comes to service.

Every time we roll the dice I want to recite that scripture so we can have it memorized by the end. Here is my handout for the children, hopefully they can recite it to their parents and tell them what we learned about.

I printed my cube on green cardstock, simply follow the directions in the corner to assemble.
