<br />
So let's talk about memorizing scriptures. I'm always amazed at how crazy fast my kiddos can memorize something. You know, I sing along to a song on the radio twice and next thing I know my 3 year-old is running around the house singing, "Hey! I just met you, and this crazy, so here's my number, call me maaaaaybe!" Yikes. <br />
<br />
The hubby and I decided we better use these powers for good. I mean, there is more to having the entire movie Cars 2 memorized right? We've started practicing scriptures, those easy, short and meaningful scriptures that everyone should know. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAUjJBATwCc8E1Mda268aO7d2T53wffPTY4M3Khm7XZvpOYirbn3Ibdh9VZV7kwTQgdkpthvr1I7Ym-OdcERfU6cH2ZgvJTIxl-eI_MOZkb27LLPKLP9sc1o8eqM0MyeTN-0aeHNIWodk/s1600/8.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAUjJBATwCc8E1Mda268aO7d2T53wffPTY4M3Khm7XZvpOYirbn3Ibdh9VZV7kwTQgdkpthvr1I7Ym-OdcERfU6cH2ZgvJTIxl-eI_MOZkb27LLPKLP9sc1o8eqM0MyeTN-0aeHNIWodk/s1600/8.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I designed this little flip book last year my boys and some friends. We practice them before bed, flip thru them at church and we're totally rockin' it! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB0uTx3QiW2Tr2jvlARsOBqHIsyOE6fiFXLGmhtPxsVwAFPDv0KEKuxqOUnM-Am38FzovDubXccGfQD5aJTJPyTDnA9D0o-7NFe3B_OwCF6heuRw9oZmj-SM0X6xTL9elQHWcWMkkGCDA/s1600/21.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhB0uTx3QiW2Tr2jvlARsOBqHIsyOE6fiFXLGmhtPxsVwAFPDv0KEKuxqOUnM-Am38FzovDubXccGfQD5aJTJPyTDnA9D0o-7NFe3B_OwCF6heuRw9oZmj-SM0X6xTL9elQHWcWMkkGCDA/s1600/21.JPG" height="213" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I decided to make my designs FREE for all of you, we all need the scriptures more in our lives and if this can help primary kids everywhere I'm a happy mamma! <br />

There are 50 pages, 4x6 size. You can print the pages, cut and assemble yourself. Or, you can go the simpler route and send them to Walgreens or Shutterfly to print as photos. Both often have 40-50% off codes, check the deals. I slide them into the little clear 4x6 albums from the dollar store and ta da! Done! <br />

<br />
Ok, let's talk playrooms. I'd like to say that I'm super trendy and have gorgeous furniture and an imagination-stimulating playroom, but tis not so. Well, not yet anyway!<br />
<br />
This is the before picture of my playroom. Don't be horrified, you know it's exactly how yours looks too! <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">(Those ones on pinterest with huge square footage, bright colors, natural light and only like 4 toys, yeah, who lives like that).</span></span> We've lived in this house for 4 months, and I have no budget for major redecorating, so we will just have to love the maroon carpet and weird window shade for now. But, while you're looking check out that molding around the windows, so gorgeous!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmy8VbPszoPVVFe3VBTlpaUJFMwsvedwqig-xFiL9RLBARc41knUH64kywrp_kIY9JvfEXkygPOqmtj8vXVADCDPiQ-6nNotkZ-9wCJeP09GOfBbHkzHoLWt4Vcu8_pmQDaI9dKDSM5DQ/s1600/IMG_1732.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmy8VbPszoPVVFe3VBTlpaUJFMwsvedwqig-xFiL9RLBARc41knUH64kywrp_kIY9JvfEXkygPOqmtj8vXVADCDPiQ-6nNotkZ-9wCJeP09GOfBbHkzHoLWt4Vcu8_pmQDaI9dKDSM5DQ/s640/IMG_1732.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
So, I started brainstorming. There were toys everywhere, and no method to cleaning up, and it's impossible to get the boys to help clean if they don't know where anything goes. Normally they just throw it all in the corner, lol. So, as with all great projects, <span style="font-size: large;">it started with a trip to Target . . . </span><br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgE1A-pyc2vb9ACn5q16kQ-Y2EOh8LVvntLK-aWJizKxuM6UwBejQB-TLTw4ywYlKkx7JvOnIbnM50in5ec23Zak8gx5gpmcYYXkjOifWTKy7hP5X_9HNYN2Mmr2tB18R8y6tRHyJNjBa4/s1600/IMG_1869.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgE1A-pyc2vb9ACn5q16kQ-Y2EOh8LVvntLK-aWJizKxuM6UwBejQB-TLTw4ywYlKkx7JvOnIbnM50in5ec23Zak8gx5gpmcYYXkjOifWTKy7hP5X_9HNYN2Mmr2tB18R8y6tRHyJNjBa4/s640/IMG_1869.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />
I really love the playroom cubes that Ikea sells, they are taller, but they were 3 times the price. Target had these cubes on sale for only $35 the first weekend in April. I bought the baskets in that fun aqua color <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">(though husband is still convinced that the color is too girly</span></span>) and added the numbers 1-4 in felt. Simple, found a font I liked on my computer, made them a good size, printed, cut out, traced and hot glued on the baskets. <span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"> (It probably would have been easier with a silhouette machine, but that still exists only in my dreams!) </span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So here's the toy organization that I came up with:</span><br />
<br />
You know there are those toys your kids always play with (toy cars and little action figures) and then there are toys they play with for a bit (like legos and the tool set) and then they just drag, scatter and throw them all over the house. <br />
<br />
<span style="color: #3d85c6;"><b>Basket #1</b></span> is for toy cars. If someone wants a car, I just say, "Have you looked in basket #1?" And if we need to put some cars away, I just say "Let's put all of these in basket #1." And it happens, rejoice! Easier cleanup and the favorite race cars aren't getting lost. <br />
<br />
<b><span style="color: #3d85c6;">Basket #2</span></b> is just for action figures. We have Hulk, Captain America, the random firefighter and so on. <br />
<br />
All the remaining toys I have sorted, put in bags and stored in the cupboard under the stairs. Once a week each boy can choose one toy set to get out and play with for the week. That keeps the toys fresh, and when we're done we have all the pieces. <br />
<br />
My little Superman gets <span style="color: #3d85c6;"><b>basket #3</b></span>, he chose the dinosaurs. <br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT9YJ5B69s8rZQEcL6BNxJ_WJ84jgx4C_MftblyhmN49nFf81YvAV8DZJbExcR6GfsTHS241H2BsNeDAJYFs8sVkW22v9AbKk-Vvb96me4CYHzevzYaa2P4E4gXqAS1AMcDvDCbGMh-7M/s1600/IMG_1866.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiT9YJ5B69s8rZQEcL6BNxJ_WJ84jgx4C_MftblyhmN49nFf81YvAV8DZJbExcR6GfsTHS241H2BsNeDAJYFs8sVkW22v9AbKk-Vvb96me4CYHzevzYaa2P4E4gXqAS1AMcDvDCbGMh-7M/s320/IMG_1866.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And Mr. Batman chose the megablocks racetrack.<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ8f6S6eLXgi0YZU5V8vX0nTIXmBWuwreMsTpt1ssEzwRyY67egSI_idj-oXvfWHjKA5YCyDgB9K2pVj86u9643ed50j3V5l5TYmgjMfQrC7WxA6Nvosh6_X-1fxxG_u9_vlj4MhVx2BE/s1600/IMG_1865.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ8f6S6eLXgi0YZU5V8vX0nTIXmBWuwreMsTpt1ssEzwRyY67egSI_idj-oXvfWHjKA5YCyDgB9K2pVj86u9643ed50j3V5l5TYmgjMfQrC7WxA6Nvosh6_X-1fxxG_u9_vlj4MhVx2BE/s320/IMG_1865.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
So, when the floor starts looking like this . . . <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2hyphenhyphenIXQ9jyOEwtBZCBiJzgm1yXH3vejmaV2YhrmOKdyitgOFY39YqEqnEn47ZfCC_1U0UuQ7S0e2LesJASast702OLa9VSz8ByCFqqorzhLG-9iz_ohAlRDgKvRmT8iyTI9Sswuqa0GS0/s1600/IMG_1864.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2hyphenhyphenIXQ9jyOEwtBZCBiJzgm1yXH3vejmaV2YhrmOKdyitgOFY39YqEqnEn47ZfCC_1U0UuQ7S0e2LesJASast702OLa9VSz8ByCFqqorzhLG-9iz_ohAlRDgKvRmT8iyTI9Sswuqa0GS0/s320/IMG_1864.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
I say, "All of those blocks need to be in <b><span style="color: #3d85c6;">basket #4</span></b>." And it happens:)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=2458326136785293901" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><br /></a>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=2458326136785293901" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>
So there you have it. Clutter free, easy clean-up for the kiddos and it's kind of adorable. We can enjoy our toys more, and rotate through them. So next time someone is yelling at me, "I can't find Spider-man!!!!" I can just point them to basket #2 . . . . <br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
So, have you tried the crockpot BBQ Ribs yet? I found the recipe floating around on pinterest, holy AMAZING! Go <a href="http://www.mmmisformommy.com/2011/09/easy-barbecued-ribs.html">here</a> to find the recipe and follow her great instructions. <br />
Here is how mine look, stunning right?<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I made them for our Easter Sunday dinner. Ohhh baby! I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce right from the bottle. <br />
<br />
The hardest part of making these was getting them out of the crockpot without them falling apart. My husband did a weird 2-spatula-squeeze move, but it worked! <br />

<br /><span style="font-style: italic;">I know right? Doesn't that look all sorts of delicious? This is one of my favorite bed rest freezer meals. I have a giant ziploc bag full of mini meatballs in my freezer right now. Hmm, the possibilities. I can serve them with spaghetti, shells, swedish meatballs over noodles, meatball subs, BBQ meatballs over rice, or even sweet and sour meatballs. They are fully cooked, so a quick zap in the microwave is all they need before you add them to the sauce. They taste amazing and I loaded them up with veggies. I've found that if I chop all the veggies really small my little man doesn't notice. I shred spinach really fine, or grate the carrot on the smallest size on my cheese grater. Love these!</span>
<br />
<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Husband Rating: 5 stars</span>
<br />
<br />3 lbs ground beef or turkey
<br />1 large onion, finely chopped
<br />1/2 cup parmesan cheese
<br />4 cloves garlic
<br />2 tsp. garlic salt
<br />3 eggs
<br />1 tsp. pepper
<br />1/2 cup bread crumbs
<br />1/4 cup ketchup
<br />1/2 pkt. onion soup mix
<br />2 of any of the following veggies, minced or finely chopped, 1/3 cup: carrot, zucchini, spinach, green pepper, mushrooms
<br />
<br />Combine all the ingredients and stir until smooth. Shape into 1 inch meatballs. Line pan with foil and arrange meatballs. Bake at 400* for 20 minutes. Makes 80 mini meatballs.
<br />
<br />To freeze: After the meatballs cool you need to flash freeze them. This freezes each one individually so you don't end up with a giant glob of meatballs stuck together. Sometimes you only need 7-10 from the bag for dinner. Arrange the meatballs flat on cookie sheet and put in your freezer for about 2 hours. Then, put them in your ziploc bag for storage.
<br />
<br />To reheat, I just put them in a microwave safe bowl and nuke for about 1 minute. If I'm using them in spaghetti, I just add them frozen right into the sauce and let them simmer with the sauce.
<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsJ9KdfVMAL2x1ZFcH37KF3UBJyff4ddCAPOLdtLrSrDfKTaBz77CYBiM9FVX9QIimMAZemcO6JQZQEQvFRPbsEBZatz5lWK9g_g1adFPhplZhEdmG3j3wOAqcOPzUQPxdC8EOYhy4o14/s1600/meatballs+2.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsJ9KdfVMAL2x1ZFcH37KF3UBJyff4ddCAPOLdtLrSrDfKTaBz77CYBiM9FVX9QIimMAZemcO6JQZQEQvFRPbsEBZatz5lWK9g_g1adFPhplZhEdmG3j3wOAqcOPzUQPxdC8EOYhy4o14/s320/meatballs+2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5642422415020282338" border="0" /></a>
<br />
<br />Here is some extra incentive for you to line the pan with foil instead of just cooking spray. What a mess!
<br />
<br /><span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);">What else do you make with meatballs? Hmm, I bet there is some soup that would be good with them too...</span>

<br /><span style="font-style: italic;">The credit for these also goes to my mom. Honestly, they are </span><span style="font-style: italic;font-size:130%;" ><span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);">genius</span></span><span style="font-style: italic;">! I have four bags of these in my freezer right now. Husband can microwave one in a paper towel and zip off to work, or I can add the toppings and serve them as a simple lunch or dinner. Adore them! The frozen variety have nothing on these babies. I cooked the beans myself, I used my favorite locally grown beef and the best Guerrero tortillas with no lard. Nutritionally there is nothing to fear here. They are inexpensive, easy to make and will last for up to 3 months in my freezer. </span>
<br />
<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Husband Rating: 5 stars</span>
<br /><span style="font-style: italic;">(no joke, since I've been on bed rest he eats one almost every day!:)</span>
<br />
<br />For my step-by-step directions to make the beef and bean filling click <span style="font-size:180%;"><a style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);" href="http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/2011/07/making-beans-your-family-will-eat.html">here</a><span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);">.</span></span>
<br />
<br />To make the burritos, simply warm tortillas, scoop in the filling and fold tightly.
<br />
<br />You will need to flash freeze the burritos before putting them in ziploc bags. (This is so they don't stick together into one giant glob, you want to take them out once at a time.)
<br />To flash freeze, arrange on a cookie sheet and put in your freezer, uncovered, for about 2 hours. They won't be completely frozen, just enough so they won't stick together. Now you can bag them!
<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyPUtbOhFTpZarzks35s9uzLYl3R-PWg09pUMbzinfhX8xcqcLkRsgJYmq3x-l_K3iFQiVnkWkq4sAxxiUUIHPgL_ZbIr5Adfent8VVknTaTDZUU3GJXbEKDyNsbxiwfXYrz9bokX51j0/s1600/burritos1.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyPUtbOhFTpZarzks35s9uzLYl3R-PWg09pUMbzinfhX8xcqcLkRsgJYmq3x-l_K3iFQiVnkWkq4sAxxiUUIHPgL_ZbIr5Adfent8VVknTaTDZUU3GJXbEKDyNsbxiwfXYrz9bokX51j0/s320/burritos1.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5642416546331320402" border="0" /></a>
<br />
<br />The frozen burritos take 1:30 seconds to perfection. Microwave for one minute, turn over, then go for 30 more seconds. I like to add a handful of cheddar cheese for the last 30 seconds, yum!
<br />
<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1hzo5LyX4jFyPtgbGAuPjmrfpS7gmcUycdV_lzmGKUYenD5frhkoWyVq_7SQNxR_UzmM331vWvNStgZSDxVjseFNfR-qQIDWvuj7YDg2IeHMarPlJfJ_1B5C77PMAEKwJgXeBbcrXXno/s1600/burritos3.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1hzo5LyX4jFyPtgbGAuPjmrfpS7gmcUycdV_lzmGKUYenD5frhkoWyVq_7SQNxR_UzmM331vWvNStgZSDxVjseFNfR-qQIDWvuj7YDg2IeHMarPlJfJ_1B5C77PMAEKwJgXeBbcrXXno/s320/burritos3.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5642416552194488162" border="0" /></a>
<br />Dump on your salsa, lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, whatever you're craving and enjoy the fastest homemade lunch ever.
<br />
<br /><span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);font-size:85%;" >Small confession: I'm not sure how many burritos you will get from one batch of the beef/bean mixture. Why? Because every time I make it we end up eating so many burritos and snacking on the filling with tortilla chips that I don't get an accurate count. I usually fill 3 ziploc bags, plus whatever we eat that doesn't quite make it. I use the "soft taco" size tortillas. </span>

All the credit goes to my mom, who has been making these for years. We use this filling to make our own homemade frozen burritos, tacos, nachos, or anything else Mexican. I love this recipe because you are doing everything from scratch, you get to control the quality of ingredients and how much fat, salt, etc. are added in. Beans are lo</span><span style="font-style: italic;">aded with nutrition, and since there are double the beans to beef, you're saving money. Follow along with me and let me know if you have any questions. </span><br /><p style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);">Remember- If you soak and cook your beans correctly you won't have the digestive/gas problems, so yes it takes longer, but it's worth it!</p><p style="font-weight: bold;">Husband Rating: 5 stars</p><p>2 lbs. dry beans (4 cups)<br /></p><p>1 lb. ground beef</p><p>1 10 oz. can tomato sauce</p><p>3/4 cup salsa</p><p>3-5 Tbsp. I always start my beans Tuesday night before bed, and serve the finished product Friday for dinner. That should give you a good idea of the timeline. I know it seems time consuming, but remember most of that time they're just sitting on your counter, no work involved:) You always want to soak beans overnight, always. I place mine in a huge bowl, cover with water and head to bed. Easy!</p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDPfP7LOgPqVpcfQ0C1uY6ygaVfNGcO3LGMcZRLxIJmEqQ9iZb_vAI8qLMGCTP6U8HwUCv1OA-UQnv6Ck0Hm70wPFbZpJzlWsbPoKPdg_Aei1BaKd1-fC_QuZLO_bfVo1xMffEy_1jJ_s/s1600/dream+002.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDPfP7LOgPqVpcfQ0C1uY6ygaVfNGcO3LGMcZRLxIJmEqQ9iZb_vAI8qLMGCTP6U8HwUCv1OA-UQnv6Ck0Hm70wPFbZpJzlWsbPoKPdg_Aei1BaKd1-fC_QuZLO_bfVo1xMffEy_1jJ_s/s320/dream+002.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5626783475498368258" border="0" /></a></p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);font-size:130%;" >Step 2:</span> Sprout. A lot of bean-makers skip this step, but it's worth people! Did you know that by sprouting your beans you can almost double the nutrition? I let mine sprout all day Wednesday and Thursday and they are good to go. Can you see it in the picture? The beans open and a little sprout pokes through. So, after they've soaked all night I rinse them really well and place them in a spaghetti strainer. I put a towel underneath and let them sit in the strainer for 2 days. Every 3 or so hours when walk by I give them a little shake and run a little water over them. Don't bother waking up during the night though, they'll be fine:) Can you handle this?</p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYEBf1pBCbbgpDnO_sVarT64SIvCixlRo7h1nOSxCNfDb4F1t8k7q3BCQ6HN_D6tkWmra5BWvDj6H_newxF43X-FuUs0ntwXaODg7F75tXp_Sqk0lqmaezH8iu0nPVnJc-RO8To2bCokE/s1600/dream+001.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYEBf1pBCbbgpDnO_sVarT64SIvCixlRo7h1nOSxCNfDb4F1t8k7q3BCQ6HN_D6tkWmra5BWvDj6H_newxF43X-FuUs0ntwXaODg7F75tXp_Sqk0lqmaezH8iu0nPVnJc-RO8To2bCokE/s320/dream+001.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5626783486241018818" border="0" /></a></p><p><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);">Step 3:</span></span> Quick Boil. This is a step you don't want to skip. I do this Friday morning, right before tossing the beans in the crockpot. In this step you get rid of all that lovely gas-causing slime. It's easy to do, just boil it right off. I put the beans in a large pan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. You will notice a white, foamy, slimy stuff float to the top. This is the scum you want to get rid of, can you see it in the picture? Just use a spoon and scrape it off. Get as much as you can, then rinse the beans again in your strainer.<br /></p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmLCMJNo9qSFczVmH0S590_Re5_lHClvStSElFgoXyugnQwtSyTiUy0QKxLqmcwJLun5QU-nAaaLk5GWf-oHjYZrB5L0G5sGyuuPhyphenhyphenwY49VM1H00uenxkcp6CXTiZMWjdbMZqgkvSd8Vw/s1600/dream+004.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmLCMJNo9qSFczVmH0S590_Re5_lHClvStSElFgoXyugnQwtSyTiUy0QKxLqmcwJLun5QU-nAaaLk5GWf-oHjYZrB5L0G5sGyuuPhyphenhyphenwY49VM1H00uenxkcp6CXTiZMWjdbMZqgkvSd8Vw/s320/dream+004.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5626783473243334018" border="0" /></a></p><p><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);">Step 4:</span></span> Cook 'em up. I never add salt to the beans, they do taste pretty bland at this stage, but you'll add the oomph later. </p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4aT3Z1oz3ZYWNx4AgUQMN3NU6OtbkSjw6XtzCGPGPtSfXPFNyxvEwdDJWU95DRxC5zWiulHLzEuHUFLd2O29zGw8XYWFy3UvKJeiALMxnwp4zKFJDG2WgaYVzpK2_xzGaD4mjdy-1OsQ/s1600/dream+009.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4aT3Z1oz3ZYWNx4AgUQMN3NU6OtbkSjw6XtzCGPGPtSfXPFNyxvEwdDJWU95DRxC5zWiulHLzEuHUFLd2O29zGw8XYWFy3UvKJeiALMxnwp4zKFJDG2WgaYVzpK2_xzGaD4mjdy-1OsQ/s320/dream+009.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5626782722073977938" border="0" /></a></p><p><span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);font-size:130%;" >Step 5:</span> Taco time. Well, I've decided that I need to go a little crazy this summer with coupons. This winter was my husband's shop's worst ever. No really, he was one of the only guys not laid off, and his paychecks were sometimes half of what we normally get. We used almost every bit of food storage that we had, and it's a good thing we had it. Now that it's summer and they are busy again I feel it's very important to stock up and get my pantry shelves full again.<br /><p>So, my goal is to stock my entire pantry and garage shelves in 3 months. I'm having a baby in 3 months, and that's usually when the extra overtime pay stops. I want canned food, cereals, pastas, flour and things like that, but I also want to stock up on toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, ziploc bags, everything we use.<br /></p><p>I've never subscribed to the paper before, but I bought a 3 month subscription last week. For $17 a month I get a daily paper and 5 sunday papers. This is so if there's a good deal I get it 5 times instead of just once. I've invested $51 in this, so I need to save waaay more than that to make it worth it. Here is what I've done so far:<br /></p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEg60j0MMjfCOxmuJ_6Ltn6qO-mk246X1MZEG2CezNsoCgtAxehq7RR2tGZrrECrwMxTKws1onZ2OKVxYWLF6GkUO6MPmQ5d6KiO9KBxjtkXbk8HkOJwqqV_ZLDHD1f3KNK5vHXlotU1Q/s1600/abe+001.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEg60j0MMjfCOxmuJ_6Ltn6qO-mk246X1MZEG2CezNsoCgtAxehq7RR2tGZrrECrwMxTKws1onZ2OKVxYWLF6GkUO6MPmQ5d6KiO9KBxjtkXbk8HkOJwqqV_ZLDHD1f3KNK5vHXlotU1Q/s320/abe+001.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615563181183951794" border="0" /></a></p><p>10 boxes of Ronzoni pasta from Albertsons, .15 cents each (reg. 2.17) = $1.50</p><p>1 Gillete fusion razor from Walgreens .89 cents (reg 9.89) = $ .89</p><p style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"><span style="font-size:130%;">Saved: $29.20<br /></span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);font-size:130%;" >Spent: $2.39</span><br /></p><p><span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);">Not bad for one week. It's a reality in primary right, nobody prepared sharing time, there's 10 minutes leftover, piano player is sick, or teachers or subs are no-shows. I've been in primary for 4 years now, and I've learned to keep a stash of simple/fun lessons in my bag. These work for simple sharing times and can be adapted to a longer class time or even use in Family Home Evening.</span><p style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);">Here are the first in my series of last-minute lessons. Enjoy!</p><p><span style="font-size:180%;">Lesson: Establish a House (D&C 88:119)</span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmWsFgOoDyCyKpNZZV7HDpa1lcgFiz5PMpXdm3zkCeVd9KtEp6DD9iC1VVdODNyFU-ZIAigogHBG4JYCwXfNSCyfEEDZfufh6HcqAaYLsvHKGAj6oWTZjDxQRLFdGwYDGulB-wpOW1k8I/s1600/dose+007.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmWsFgOoDyCyKpNZZV7HDpa1lcgFiz5PMpXdm3zkCeVd9KtEp6DD9iC1VVdODNyFU-ZIAigogHBG4JYCwXfNSCyfEEDZfufh6HcqAaYLsvHKGAj6oWTZjDxQRLFdGwYDGulB-wpOW1k8I/s320/dose+007.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5613712833834275970" border="0" /></a></p><p>This lesson is fun for all ages, and you can really challenge the older kids to memorize the scripture. The younger kids, of course, love to color the picture. I have one printed on cardstock, colored and cut into a puzzle. We search the room for the hidden pieces, put it together, and talk about each piece. Handout the house coloring page and color. Simple!<br /></p><p>Click <span style="font-size:180%;"><a href="https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B9QdJdTGIpWVN2RkMzYwODMtOGNiOS00YzIwLTgzZjAtOGU5NDJkNGIxYzc4&hl=en_US&authkey=CPb8wvEH">here</a></span> for the blank house coloring page.</p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBGCw7Lr6bOORUUGbK2qxZHV9phLMYizBmiv496jUo6wr_wXZ9P-Q3YNaA8u1CJRzknpvKS7gbD2dFk0BOyhpV1m2BQUDKC9y3Szf9uSSbDCNnRV67V-owHNXdM0ldzU7e0FSe_NL9SvY/s1600/dose+006.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBGCw7Lr6bOORUUGbK2qxZHV9phLMYizBmiv496jUo6wr_wXZ9P-Q3YNaA8u1CJRzknpvKS7gbD2dFk0BOyhpV1m2BQUDKC9y3Szf9uSSbDCNnRV67V-owHNXdM0ldzU7e0FSe_NL9SvY/s320/dose+006.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5613712827395645474" border="0" /></a></p> <p><span style="font-size:180%;">Lesson: Jonah and the Big Fish</span></p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK40WGMu8QjjO3WPYNvjdyvn_VVeFgbylPAL6JPsTVrF7AbN4uAKqCf0d3Sf2trTkpT5DFPEiLLuuAs5frk_b8tmEJ76b6mEOrnS-PNuo-53nk9DiZBeccNjqBjhxL-fAvH4wY0Mg_i78/s1600/dose+009.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK40WGMu8QjjO3WPYNvjdyvn_VVeFgbylPAL6JPsTVrF7AbN4uAKqCf0d3Sf2trTkpT5DFPEiLLuuAs5frk_b8tmEJ76b6mEOrnS-PNuo-53nk9DiZBeccNjqBjhxL-fAvH4wY0Mg_i78/s320/dose+009.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5613793094305654082" border="0" /></a></p><p>This is another fun lesson, especially for the younger kiddos. You can tell or read the story of Jonah, and I use my colored cardstock cutouts for this. Make sure to cut a little slit up the whale's mouth so Jonah can really go inside. Talk about courage, faith and being obedient, sing Follow the Prophet and handout the coloring page. The game is called 3-card-match, it's easy enough for little kids, but I find my senior primary gets in to it the most. Print off the cards, there are 2 of each picture to the Easter story. I use the music stand to play, but you could also use a flannel board or chalkboard. Place 3 cards face down, one child gets a chance to turn over 2 cards, their goal is to get a match. If they don't get a match, turn them over, make a show about mixing them up and it's another child's turn. If they match, take those cards out, tell that part of the story, and add more cards to the game. You can compete girls/boys, teachers/kids, classes, or just have them try to match them as a group. <br /></p><p>You could make a fun set of cards for missionary work, temples, prophets, a million fun topics. I find that 11 or 12 matches takes the time. For younger children when they get a match you can tell that part of the story, for senior primary I make them tell ME the part of the story before getting the point. <br /></p><p>Click <a href="https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B9QdJdTGIpWVYTUyZjA3ODEtZjRlYy00MjczLWEzOWMtZjBhNGRhYzM3ODZl&hl=en_US&authkey=CLOHjeUM"><span style="font-size:180%;">here</span></a> to print the 3 Card Match Easter Game. (It's 6 pages, be patient, and you'll want to print on cardstock)<br /></p> <p><span style="font-size:130%;"><span style="color: rgb(51, 102, 255);">If you have a favorite last minute lesson to share, or have questions or suggestion please leave a comment or contact me at camillescasa(at)yahoo(dot)com</span></span><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><img class="centered" alt="post signature" src="http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr116/alishascorner/CamillesSignaturecopy.png" /></p>Camille @ Camille's Casahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07712574576144541474noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2458326136785293901.post-57502886654361535642011-06-01T13:28:00.000-07:002011-06-01T13:41:47.841-07:00Knit-Zilla Show-off<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxNRHWBrjNCTaMMRHZH25Le6LYK74_YrJCkkkxpOk0TYjhNy7nulY2subjXwJ9sZmxJB9Ob-HsBwgdQr2anoWiTflVVGKXMnh9bksX6-C8G1Q0xpcL1RJcd0reVCtJsYSEtZZie0sxubg/s1600/dose+004.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxNRHWBrjNCTaMMRHZH25Le6LYK74_YrJCkkkxpOk0TYjhNy7nulY2subjXwJ9sZmxJB9Ob-HsBwgdQr2anoWiTflVVGKXMnh9bksX6-C8G1Q0xpcL1RJcd0reVCtJsYSEtZZie0sxubg/s320/dose+004.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5613352673856046114" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Ok, so there's nothing better than a box on your porch. If I double dinner once a week and freeze half, I will have 12 freezer meals ready to go before my new little munchkin arrives. (Yes, I'm pregnant, don't think I've said so on my blog yet, but trust me, I'm out to here.) I could even make 6 a month without adding too much to our grocery budget, and it really isn't that much extra time to prepare. </span><br /></p><p>I'm using simple dollar store foil containers with lids and ziploc bags. I'm typing out instructions and labels so hubby can prepare without even asking. <br /></p><p><span style="font-size:130%;">Here are my favorite freezer meals</span>. I will link up recipes and pictures as I go:</p><p>Creamy Spinach Chicken</p><p><a href="http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/2010/06/cheesy-texas-bake.html">Cheesy Texas Bake</a></p><p>Porcupines</p><p>Funeral Potatoes and Ham</p><p><a href="http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/2009/07/easy-cheesy-manicotti.html">Cheesy Manicotti</a></p><p>Pizza Bites</p><p>BBQ Cups</p><p>Spaghetti Sausage Pie</p><p>Sloppy Joes</p><p><a href="http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/2010/09/baked-ziti-with-freezer-directions.html">Baked Ziti</a><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><span style="font-size:130%;">Am I forgetting anything else easy and delicious?</span> Yeah, we won't starve:)<br /></p><p><br /></p><p><img class="centered" alt="post signature" src="http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr116/alishascorner/CamillesSignaturecopy.png" /></p>Camille @ Camille's Casahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07712574576144541474noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2458326136785293901.post-73995012203293503852011-05-11T12:39:00.000-07:002011-05-11T13:31:49.912-07:00Chicken Taquitos (for the freezer)<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6q1rMckUuSpP2cCbcoWaasrud7y4sgna2zQHnM6Fbyb1HXV-pXrCfAVjScRmNPTD0fi9252iFmZRjJn5CYvX2gAWyiTsnj7byyD9WJGjOqe0sNfGugJufiP6aOJB-_0Q6IXbIU50IEgY/s1600/taquitos3.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6q1rMckUuSpP2cCbcoWaasrud7y4sgna2zQHnM6Fbyb1HXV-pXrCfAVjScRmNPTD0fi9252iFmZRjJn5CYvX2gAWyiTsnj7byyD9WJGjOqe0sNfGugJufiP6aOJB-_0Q6IXbIU50IEgY/s320/taquitos3.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5605545851260828530" border="0" /></a><br /><span style="color: rgb(51, 204, 255);font-size:130%;" >And don't forget to check out my Mother's Day Clearance Apron sale <a href="http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/2011/05/mothers-day-clearance-event.html">here</a>!</span><br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">You know those taquitos you buy in the frozen foods? And it's like $3 for 24 or so soggy taquitos? They say chicken or beef, but you aren't quite convinced? Ya, stop buying them, it's time to make your own. These are so delicious, the tortilla is nice and crispy and </span><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">hello</span><span style="font-style: italic;"> cheap!! My husband loves to grab 3 or 4 taquitos, microwave them on a paper towel for 1 minute and dash off to work. I have been known to eat them while driving too:) It took me an hour and a half to make 110 taquitos, check out my price break down below. In a large bowl stir together cream cheese, chicken and Monterrey jack cheese. Finely chop cilantro and stir into chicken mixture. Squeeze lime juice and stir. Warm tortillas (microwave or skillet) so they don't break when rolling. Preheat oven to 425. Cover a cookie sheet with foil (easy clean-up) and spray with cooking spray. Place a spoonful of chicken mixture in each tortilla and roll, place seam side down on pan. When the pan is full, lightly spray the tops of the taquitos with cooking spray. Place in a large ziploc bag, label and freeze. You will want to eat all of the taquitos within 3 months. Mine have never lasted more than a month, we love them too much:) To reheat, microwave on a plate or paper towel for 1 minute. Serve with salsa, guacamole or sour cream. So there you have it, a perfect on-the-run snack or heat up a pan full for a last minute dinner.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1paHfZQFC7Vd8dCx8zSEzRCU2kAzJvPE6PR4biT3j9ODp0Odb0NkpmQr1tSPzXVvWzD3CZ1oZaC7VAdxDWP5UiGE_WFcFRpwPkKWZ72RKeSFFO4OH4LAGmCKgmMVnLZAsYCA-R5t0LJE/s1600/taquitos2.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1paHfZQFC7Vd8dCx8zSEzRCU2kAzJvPE6PR4biT3j9ODp0Odb0NkpmQr1tSPzXVvWzD3CZ1oZaC7VAdxDWP5UiGE_WFcFRpwPkKWZ72RKeSFFO4OH4LAGmCKgmMVnLZAsYCA-R5t0LJE/s320/taquitos2.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5605545836416876386" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Pricing: </span><br />Cilantro: .68 cents<br />Lime: .50 cents<br />Cream Cheese: .98 cents<br />Monterray Jack: $1 (used a coupon)<br />Corn tortillas: $4<br />Chicken: $5.50 (I bought it on sale)<br /> <span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);font-size:130%;" >Total: $12.66</span><br /><br />Linking up with <a href="http://www.titus2atthewell.com/tempt-my-tummy-tuesday-mexican-corn-grits/#comment-22779">Tempt my Tummy Tuesday</a>, <a href="http://www.bluecricketdesign.net/">Blue Cricket Show & Tell</a>, <a href="http://womenwhodoitall.blogspot.com/2011/05/idea-sharing-wednesday-features-and.html?showComment=1305145579717">Idea Sharing Wednesday</a>, and <a href="http://sewmuchado.blogspot.com/">We did it Wednesday at Sew Much Ado</a>. <br /><p><img class="centered" alt="post signature" src="http://i475.photobucket.com/albums/rr116/alishascorner/CamillesSignaturecopy.png" /></p>Camille @ Camille's Casahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07712574576144541474noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2458326136785293901.post-6299559315458804072011-05-09T16:31:00.001-07:002011-05-18T13:24:53.479-07:00Mother's Day Clearance EventI had a lot of fun with my Mother's Day sales this year. Either way, I had fun sewing up these cuties. <br /><br />I didn't get creative with patterns either, I used tutorials from some of the greats in blogland. I didn't want to sew on buttons because of the choking hazard, but I wish I would have made some cute felt eyes now that I think about it. I used Simplicity <a style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);" href="http://www.simplicity.com/p-1568-crafts.aspx">pattern 2613</a> for the elephant. I'll admit, I didn't love the pattern and it was kind overly complicated. Next time I make one, I will just use it for the shape and sew it up more logically, lol. <br />Note: I use machine washable stuffing, so this guy can go right in the laundry:)<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHZnNeZj2M4SF02MPUOGnAH-VMWxKuADGJU-fOA5VHp4zoS7YSZUTz03uyCZa-uWh_4qUuURGPuRAnEVnlO3J9NowZVi4jGf_HWhzvYY4XZm0QpCWgdENWHAnY_doux7da3pGQOiGrN4w/s1600/baby+shower+5.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 247px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHZnNeZj2M4SF02MPUOGnAH-VMWxKuADGJU-fOA5VHp4zoS7YSZUTz03uyCZa-uWh_4qUuURGPuRAnEVnlO3J9NowZVi4jGf_HWhzvYY4XZm0QpCWgdENWHAnY_doux7da3pGQOiGrN4w/s320/baby+shower+5.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5601101970160109122" border="0" /></a><br />A handsome bib with a felt Z for the little man. But I hate giving candy, cookies or a button in a jar.<p>We decided on scripture stickers, one per month. Each week we have a scripture that we look up and mark with a red pencil and on the last week we give a scripture sticker to each child that has their scriptures. (This may seem mean, but if you forget them you can always get it the next week. We got a stack of free Book of Mormons from our local DI and so there is no child in our primary that doesn't have their own. This is something every child can succeed at!)</p><p><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIrkKBjO3oKKsU83CsgqQFFDCLalB9Crky8CPY32Nh5u-uDnoEzj0WvmFVq82zwzEJfJYY8uTm_so2Bs8YhiOR-A_P8-3_WZmwsmeR9rUsMhP1NbPKGGPdNn4yQ5158Ffg0cm7j-bBi40/s1600/believe+042.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIrkKBjO3oKKsU83CsgqQFFDCLalB9Crky8CPY32Nh5u-uDnoEzj0WvmFVq82zwzEJfJYY8uTm_so2Bs8YhiOR-A_P8-3_WZmwsmeR9rUsMhP1NbPKGGPdNn4yQ5158Ffg0cm7j-bBi40/s320/believe+042.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5597756187781692178" border="0" /></a></p><p style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"><span style="font-size:130%;">April Scripture Sticker: Isaiah 1:18</span></p><p>These stickers coordinate with my week 3 lesson found <a style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);" href="http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/2011/04/april-sharing-time-week-2-and-3.html">here</a> where we discussed repentance, the atonement and how we can be clean white just like clean laundry. <br /></p><p>I made these scripture stickers on my computer, cheaper than the ones you buy at Deseret Book and perfect because we need 40 of each one. Make sure you buy CLEAR envelope labels, not white.</p><p>I used the Avery brand Clear Mailing Labels. The package says size 18660, 1 x 2 5/8 inches, 30 labels per sheet. To design I used my favorite scrapbook program that had the built-in layout called Avery 8160. I checked Microsoft word and they also have a template for Avery 8160, so they will print correctly. Scriptures are so small, so I cut each label in half. I am going to teach the topic from week 3 so the last week of April we can focus on Easter. I created a really fun lesson in July about how Jesus went about doing good with free printables, click <span style="font-size:130%;"><a href="http://camillescasa.blogspot.com/2010/07/july-sharing-time-week-2.html">here</a></span> to view that lesson if you need ideas for the week 2 topic.<br /><p><span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);font-size:130%;" >Theme: We believe that through the atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved. </span><br /></p><p>Materials: Yarn or string, 8 clothespins, 8 t-shirts printed on red cardstock, 8 t-shirts printed on white cardstock, handout t-shirts with scripture for each child, picture of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.<br /></p><p><span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);">Click </span><a href="https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B9QdJdTGIpWVNTc3MjNlNTktZmQxZS00ODRjLWFkMzYtNzk2OTAwNmQwNTY3&hl=en&authkey=CIiRnK8G"><span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);font-size:180%;" >here</span></a><span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"> to download my free printables. There are 6 pages here. Page 1 is the t-shirt handout, pages 2 and 3 are the white t-shirt printables, pages 4 and 5 are the t-shirts that need to be printed on red paper, and page 6 is a large, blank t-shirt that is optional if you want to color or need additional. </span><br /></p><p>String your yarn across the primary room and hang up clothes pins. Tell children that today you are going to clean some dirty laundry, but you will need their help. Begin by reading Isaiah 1:18. What is scarlett? What color is snow? What does that mean? Even though we could be bright red with sin, through Jesus' atonement we can become clean and white like snow, like the red was never even there. Each one contains a sin that needs to be wiped away and made like snow through Christ's atonement. I'm going to choose 2 children at a time. Have the 2nd child choose a white t-shirt from another "clean" basket that is pure white and place it over the red t-shirt. I made a sweet deal with my friend Janette. She is a photographer and we needed new family pictures. She wanted a quiet book for her little boy, but didn't know how to make one. Ta da - the trade! We got family pics for free, she got a custom quiet book for free. <br /><br />The adorable chocolate colored tree fabric for the cover is from Joann's. I made the actual pages on felt, and then hammered in grommets to attach the rings.
